Monday morning saw the latest batch of Horizon members waiting eagerly for our boat fishing trip on Wet Wheels. The easterly wind meant that the favored marks would be unavailable so we headed off towards Ryde. A refresh of the points for fish species saw dogfish relegated to 3 points. The first fish of the day to Dave G was(you can guess) 3 points. Bites were slow but the banter therefore increased, Keith the skipper even resorting to early tea making. Great decision as half a cup in DG’s rod bent over and a nice smoothhound was soon boated. ,A change of location then allowed others to catch with Richard landing a nice conger and Jan a Black Bream. It wasn’t long before the gudgeon queen aka Julie started to catch dogfish and Bream.,As the day passed Dave O’Dee had steadily been accumulating fish and was in the lead heading towards our last stop. A flurry of bites saw Steve break his duck and Dave O’Dee’s boasted a nice smoothhound. ,A great day had by all and special thanks to skipper Keith and crew Chris and Jamie. Jamie was also filming for his U tube channel so new film stars could be in the making
