Horizon Angling Club for the Disabled

Four anglers turned out for the match at our lilies, West Lilies was heavy with lily growth whilst East Lilies was fishable from four pegs.
Pete & Julie decided to fish East Lilies for the first time, whereas Steve and Mike went for the big ones on West Lilies.
On East Lilies, our dynamic duo was immediately into the ravenous Rudd with Pete taking 24 of them for a total of 5 lbs 4 ozs.
Julie got fewer Rudd in between several challenging battles with overhanging trees.
Steve, despite his best efforts, could not get a single decisive bite throughout the match.
Mike though, had three Carp on the hook all of which managed an escape, two broke the 10 – 12 lb line, the third came in without much of a fight, then two feet from the net did a gentle roll onto its back to effect a Houdini style unhooking escape.
Soon after the match, both Steve and Mike got into the big ones with a 13lb Carp each … bah-humbug!!
