Horizon Angling Club for the Disabled

8 anglers attended the match.  The weather was sunny and pleasant with a swirly breeze  The draw took place without incident and everyone went to their chosen swims on the West Lake.
Steve had to leave before the whistle to get his Covid Booster, and he returned duly jabbed.  Richard and Claire arrived just before the off.
At 10.00am the match began and everyone went quiet with concentration. As seems usual at Havant, the fishing was slow.  Andy’s line indicator buzzed, Andy struck, unfortunately there was nothing on the line. Five minutes later, the same thing happened, with the same result.
At 12.40, there was excitement with Peter landing a magnificent Eel weighing 8 ounces. Almost an hour later Andy had another bite, but the fish broke the line.
Steve entertained himself by herding a pair of Canada Geese with three goslings.
In the final hour, it went quiet, very quiet. Everyone was concentrating on not being the first to snore.  In the distance, a dog barked.
The weather stayed pleasant all day, and although there was only catch, everyone enjoyed their day at the Lake.
Congratulations to Peter for winning his second match in a week.
