With the forecast of force 3-4 SW winds the intrepid 6 anglers boarded the boat with high hopes. A stop for mackerel was successful so a bouncy ride to our chosen mark commenced with D O’Dee getting a full brace of 6 on his feathers then a set of 5 beauties. With Arun looking bit miffed only to find out the set of feathers were in fact just that no hooks??? Sabotage he reckons as Dave put his scissors away, On arrival the sea was lumpy and probably force 5. Fishing commenced and Arun quickly lost his butt plug!!! An early doggie went to Keith then Dave G weighed in with a small conger. Both Richard and Dave O’Dee then landed Ray’s. More doggies were found but with some members feeling a little green due to the sea state it was decided the safest thing was to move to the shelter of the IOW. Once there the sea was calmer and Keith was soon on the dogfish, Richard then caught a conger and also tried fly fishing for Keith’s hat. The fishing was slow but spirits still high but even Arun’s tiger prawns could only muster doggies. Richard won the points contest with his 3 different species. All looking forward to next trip.
